Just watched the Wisconsin - Michigan State game in 1993 in Tokyo that got us to the Rose Bowl. I had forgotten that we never punted in the entire game, and had 0 turnovers. In fact, we scored on every drive, except the second (missed FG) and the last (EOG). Just fantastic to watch it again.
That game started around 11:00 pm EST Saturday night. The Fiancee and I were in Tampa because I'd won a trip to see the Washington-Tampa Bay game on that Sunday. She turned in before the game started, but we had a two-room suite, so I was watched, mostly pacing around the sitting room, even as the Badgers dominated the game. When time expired I wanted to yell at the top of my voice, but...sleeping beauty would not be amused. Instead, I headed to the parking lot, got into the rental car, put a Badger Band album into the player (I'd been thinking ahead), opened all the windows...and drove around for an hour or so, singing as loud as I could. Passersby, presumably coming off late shifts or heading to early ones, just looked on, bemused. The next day we showed up at the stadium in Badger t-shirts, and got congratulations for the rest of the day. As the late Keith Jackson would say, "There's nothing so refreshing as a resurgent spirit," or something like that. Great memory.
