They all miss the point in that all thiese accusations were merely political attacks, mostly by the far left media, and our great president was merely fighting back vs these political attacks. Barr said just that in his summary and initial interview and was spot on

Now up to 450 federal ex-prosecutors and counting. They know. Everybody knows. Trump's a criminal. It's in broad daylight.

You clearly haven't read ANY of the Mueller report, have you?
It is you who have missed the point. Stop taking Trump, who lies (10,000+ and counting) more than he tells the truth, at his word and just let him go. He's going down.

"A federal judge on Thursday ordered that prosecutors make public a transcript of a phone call that former national security adviser Michael Flynn tried hard to hide with a lie: his conversation with a Russian ambassador in late 2016. U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan in Washington ordered the government also to provide a public transcript of a November 2017 voice mail involving Flynn. In that sensitive call, President Trump’s attorney left a message for Flynn’s attorney reminding him of the president’s fondness for Flynn at a time when Flynn was considering cooperating with federal investigators...Sullivan also ordered that still-redacted portions of the Mueller report that relate to Flynn be given to the court and made public." linkFlynn was a go-between for the Trump campaign and the Russians, and that call was a case of attempted obstruction. The judge is considering posting the audio recordings of the testimony, too. It won't be the Nixon "smoking gun" tape, but it has the potential to dent the "nothing happened" defense that the WH has mounted for three years. I can't wait.

"Former national security adviser Michael Flynn told investigators that people linked to the Trump administration and Congress reached out to him in an effort to interfere in the Russia probe, according to newly unredacted court papers filed Thursday. The court filing from special counsel Robert Mueller is believed to mark the first public acknowledgement that a person connected to Capitol Hill was suspected of engaging in an attempt to impede the investigation into Russian election interference...Flynn even provided a voicemail recording of one such communication, the court papers say." linkClassic obstruction. Somehow, Bill Barr must have skipped over this part of the report. Oh wait! Didn't he testify that he actually never looked at any of the evidence? He probably skipped the redacted paragraphs in the report, too. The better to ensure he would be able to say with a straight face that "there was no obstruction." Let's play the game of "Name the Person Connected to Capitol Hill" who's referred to above. My first guess: Devin Nunes. OK, that's too obvious, but sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one. I mean, this isn't as complicated as Clue (Mr. Green in the Library with the lead pipe).

Robert Mueller, in announcing he is closing the Special Counsel's office and resigning from the Justice Department, gave a strong refutation to the spin Trump, Barr, and the White House have tried to put on his report, to wit:
Russian interference: "As alleged by the grand jury in an indictment, Russian intelligence officers who are part of the Russian military launched a concerted attack on our political system. The indictment alleges that they used sophisticated cyber techniques to hack into computers and networks used by the Clinton campaign. They stole private information and then released that information through fake online identities and through the organization Wikileaks. The releases were designed and timed to interfere with our election and to damage a presidential candidate...
"I will close by reiterating the central allegation of our indictments, that there were multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election. And that allegation deserves the attention of every American." Trump's refrain that the Russians "did something" but nothing all that significant is just wrong. Period.
Trump's criminality: "If we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so." So why wasn't he charged? Under Department of Justice policy, a President "cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional. Even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public view, that, too, is prohibited. Charging the President with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider." Trump wasn't charged because of DOJ policy, not because he was "innocent" as the WH now claims. Yet, in his own press conference Barr said that this was NOT the reason the Special Counsel decided against indicting Trump--a blatant lie.
Can we all please stop giving any credence to the lies coming from Barr, Huckabee-Sanders, Conway, and the other spinmeisters working for Lyin' Donnie Trump? I assume no one takes Trump's own words seriously anymore.

Amber Phillips of the WP annotates Mueller's comments, In particular, it's worth noting her notes on this line: "When a subject of an investigation obstructs that investigation or lies to investigators, it strikes at the core of the government’s effort to find the truth and hold wrongdoers accountable." Phillips writes: "If Democrats (or Republican Justin Amash) wanted to use Mueller’s own words to write up articles of impeachment for Trump, they might pull from this. What Mueller appears to be saying here is that efforts to hinder his investigation into how Russians interfered in the election is straight up undemocratic. It 'strikes at the core of the government’s efforts to find the truth and hold wrongdoers accountable,' Mueller says. If you read the Mueller report and think Trump did indeed obstruct the investigation – Mueller outlines 10 instances that could be construed as such, five of which have the necessary components of a crime – then this is a big allegation against the president of the United States." linkExactly! Unfortunately, most of the media, hungry for an "answer" to the investigation, went with Barr's original spin, effectively claiming Trump was cleared. By the time the redacted copy of the report came out it already was too late to rein in the right-wing lie machine of interconnected commentators, think tankers, and TV blowhards--all connected via Fox News--who were pushing the fake news from the WH and Barr. Maybe Mueller's comments will help move the needle to something more closely resembling what his report actually says.

Some hot takes on Twitter: Nancy Pelosi: "The Congress holds sacred its constitutional responsibility to investigate and hold the President accountable for his abuse of power. The Congress will continue to investigate and legislate to protect our elections and secure our democracy." Jerry Nadler: "With respect to [the] impeachment question at this point, all options are on the table. Nothing should be ruled out." Elijah E. Cummings: "Special Counsel Mueller's statement today confirms both the evidence of obstruction by the President and the critical role of Congress under the Constitution going forward." Joe Scarborough: "English translation of Mueller: 'Trump would have been indicted if he weren’t president.' If Mueller will do no more than read his report before Congress, then that is what Democrats should have him do with 50 million Americans watching. The report is damning and Americans who will not read it need to learn of its contents." David Frum: "I'm putting it all on one page. What Mueller says Trump did. It's bad." [ full Atlantic article] Tom Nichols: "Shorter Mueller: Do I have to do everything? Congress, you have the report. I couldn't charge the President because of DoJ policy. We documented the attack. We showed you the collusion, but couldn't charge 'broader' conspiracy. We laid out the obstruction. That's it." My personal favorite: Bakari Sellers: *Mueller enters room stands behind podium with Nirvana T-Shirt and ripped jeans on.* Taps mic... “Read the f*^%ing report. Thank you.” *exits*

Senate Judiciary's Richard Blumenthal: "Mueller reaffirmed the point made by me and nearly one thousand fellow former federal prosecutors: Donald Trump would be in handcuffs, criminally indicted, but for his being President of the United States."
Even Trump agrees:
Donald J. Trump @realdonaldtrump: "Nothing changes from the Mueller Report. There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent."
Nothing sounds more presidential than the old Innocent Until Proven Guilty defense. He's no longer claiming he didn't conspire with the Russians, just that Mueller couldn't prove it. He must be talking about that aspect of the case because Mueller made very clear that but for DOJ guidelines he'd have indicted Trump on the obstruction of justice issues.
Hell, even Fox knows:
Fox judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano: "Effectively, what Bob Mueller said is, we had evidence that [Trump] committed a crime, but we couldn't charge him because he's the President...This is even stronger than the language in his report. This is also a parting shot [at Barr]." They all know. We all know. No matter how many times Sarah H-S says "case closed" this one's staying open. Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.
